New Telephone System Arriving on 2nd November 2026
We are delighted to announce that our new telephone system will go live on 2nd November 2026, bringing improved access and additional self-service options for our patients.
Automated Repeat Prescription Ordering
A key feature of the new system is the introduction of a secure automated telephone prescription ordering service. Patients will be able to request eligible repeat medications by calling the surgery and following the automated prompts, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
This service is designed to make requesting regular medication easier and more convenient, particularly for patients who may not always be able to contact the practice during normal opening hours.
How to Use the Service
Before using the automated prescription service, you will need to obtain a personal PIN from our reception team.
Once registered:
- You can order your eligible repeat medications at any time.
- Your PIN can be updated after you begin using the service.
- You can access the service simply by calling the practice telephone number and following the prompts.
Please note that reception staff will not be able to process repeat prescription requests by telephone. Repeat medication requests must be submitted through the automated service, NHS App or another approved ordering method.
Make the Most of the NHS App
The NHS App remains one of the quickest and easiest ways to access NHS services.
We encourage all patients to:
- Register for the NHS App if you have not already done so.
- Turn on notifications.
- Check your contact details are correct.
- Use the app for repeat prescription ordering and practice communications.
Keep Your Details Up to Date
To ensure we can contact you about appointments, test results and other important information, please let us know if your:
- Mobile number has changed.
- Email address has changed.
We look forward to launching the new system and will continue to share updates and guidance before go-live on 2nd November 2026.
